Replacing a part on its own
Manufacturer confirmedOn district heating units, control valves and motors (AMV/AME actuators and VM2/VS2 valves) can ALWAYS be replaced individually. There is no technical reason to change a whole unit because a motor or valve has seized or burnt out. A full replacement only becomes relevant once the plate heat exchanger is corroded or scaled, or the pipework itself is rusting.
Moving an application key
Manufacturer confirmedThe application key is not tied to a serial number and can be moved freely to another controller of the same type; the new controller then needs configuring. A2xx keys fit both ECL 210 and 310, while A3xx fit only the 310, which has the extended hardware.
